The following graphs illustrate the present facilities of an industrial area in Norbiton town and specific future planning of the spot.
Overall, this industrial zone will be developed into a living zone with convenient and complete infrastructure for local residents, including education, medicine and housing. The town will be capable to contain more people in Norbiton.
It is clear that considerable changes will be seen everywhere. As the factories around the town will be replaced by housing, shops and school in the future, the roads in the town will be expended to provide abundant space for enough housing and playground which will be nect to school.
There is going to be a bridge connecting the farmland from south, making it convenient for the residents in the north side of the river to travel. At the southeastern part of the old circle, a new medical centre will be built considering there was no medical services in the town before. Also the south roads of the old circle will be changed into another little circle.

The following graph illustrates how to manufacture sugar using sugar canes as major ingredients.
Overall, seven steps are required in total for the production of sugar with sugar canes between 12 and 18 months. During the serial processes, both human labour and machanism are of significance.
After 12 months of growing, sugar canes are ready to be harvested with human force or machines like tractors. By the way, the harvest should end before 18 months. (Having matured for one year to a year and a half ...) Then the collected canes will be crushed into juice by specific machine. The juice is going to be purified with limestone filter. After purification the juice will be poured into the evaporator with fire heating then becomes cyrup. Later the cyrup will be placed in the centrifuge to generate sugar crystals. Finally after drying and cooling, sugar will be produced with sugar crystals.

# It is important for people to take risks, both in their professional lives and their personal lives.Do you think the advantages of taking risks outweigh the disadvantages?

It is said that some individuals believe taking risks in careers and personal daily lives is of importance. In my humble opinion, the advantages of risking actually outweighs its defects in several aspects.
Taking risks in the professional fields and daily routines is extremely benifical to both self-improvement and career upgrade(promotion) as seeking opportunities really matters. Firstly, slight challenges in the job are inevitable, but if you work hard and conquer the problem, there is no doubt that your ability in the filed will be improved, bringing possible wage raising and better career. Secondly, the daily routines are so boring that it is a necessity to have some changes and risks to enrich normal personal lives. For example, one day you challenge yourself with some new sport and fortunately meet with dozens of good friends, with whom different life experiences can be shared. Finally, positive and optimistic personality could be shaped subtly after taking the risk and overcoming the obstacle as people will gain confidence and strength the their belief that they are capable of challenges.
On the other hand, it is possible for us to minimise the risks if all necessary preparations could be fulfilled. For example, an investigation should be taken seriously before action as more information you captured , more opportunities there will be. With full awareness of the background and the problem, it is necessary to check out the bullet points when preparing for the challenge. After hard working and devoting, the disadvantages of taking risks will decrease as a consequence.
In conclusion, I do believe that the advantages of taking risks outweighs its defects if full preparations could be accomplished before action.

Some people say History is one of the most important school subjects. Other people think that, in today’s world, subjects like Science and Technology are more important than History.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Education can always attract great public attention as it is crucial to students' characteristic development. In my humble opionion, nowdays it is the scientific and technological breakthroughs that accelerate human being's progress , even though History still plays an signficant role in pupils' cultivation.
On the one hand, totally there are three main advantages for students when subjects like Science and Technology are taken seriously at school. To begin with, students' curiosity will be encouraged during the Science and Technology classes as scientic facts and fundament principles will be imparted from teachers, with which it is going to be possilbe for student to look at the reality in a scientific view. Therefore their inner curiosities will be activated then they will try to understand how the world works. Secondly, it is self-evident that scientific and technical training is capable of promoting their creativity and innovation abilities. Last but not the least, mastering knowledge from Science and Technology classes can help students to seek better job opportunities after graduation, including higher salary or comfortable working environment.
On the other hand, subjects like History are beneficial to student's personal mental growth while exert little influence on their creativity, imagination and innovation abilities. For example, I learnt major events that happened in China in the span of 5000 years in history classes through high school. With basic awareness of Chinese history, I began to know how to tell the difference between good and evil and the spirit of China. However, industrialisation and development are more urgently demanded in the modern society, which requires experts in science and technology.
Overall, I believe that school should pay more attention to subjects like Science and Technology to cultivate talents for society instead of mainly focusing on History.

There is a famous saying that those who do not study the errors in history are doomed to repeat them. With the drive for scientific and technological education leading to the increasing marginalization of history as an academic subject, I think the need to preserve history as a fundamental field is more important than ever before. A very basic overview of significant historical events reveals that many aspects of change are cyclical. Understanding these cycles, such as the ebb and flow of technological advancement, and being able to recognize the state of one’s present era based on historical precedents is an incredibly useful skill for students to acquire. For example, enterprising students who seek to earn a living through investment or entrepreneurship could benefit immensely by understanding the historical problems a region has had and still is facing.

This is not to say that science and technology courses are not important. It is a vital necessity for everyone nowadays to have some modicum of tech savvy if they are to function in day-to-day life. For example, the proliferation of high-tech devices throughout society means that every person must have a basic understanding of how these devices function in order to use them. Also, there is a strong point to be made for the career opportunities in science and technology fields compared to ones related to history. The most likely job prospects for those who focus on history are academic fields, such as teachers, museum curators, and writers, whereas science and technology majors have a very wide range of jobs to choose from. Yet these facts do not supersede the need for a historical education. In fact, if students focus only on the scientific and technological fields, and ignore history, they may develop poor attitudes towards technology due to a lack of historical context.

In short, my opinion is that history classes are as important now as they have ever been, and the need for an understanding of science and technology does not negate this.
